  Online Help - Dynalink ALE070 Configuration  @
 


IMPORTANT: Do NOT connect your modem to your computer until instructed to do so.
You must install the modem software from the Dynalink CD before connecting the modem.

First, insert the Dynalink CD and this screen should automatically appear.
Select your modem type, such as ALE070

Click Install Driver.

You will be prompted to Run (or open) or Save a file. Click Run (or open).

If you are running Windows XP, you may be prompted again. Click Run.

You are now in the Setup program. Click Next.

Choose Standard PPPoA Modem Connection, and Click Next.

You may receive this warning. Click Continue Anyway.

You will now be prompted to plug in your modem.
Plug the USB cable from the modem into a free USB plug at the back of your computer.

Windows will detect new hardware.
If you are running Windows XP, you will be prompted to use Windows Update. Click No, not at this time.
Click Next.

Select Install the software automatically, and click Next.

Windows will detect new hardware again.
If you are running Windows XP, you will be prompted to use Windows Update. Click No, not at this time.
Click Next.

Select Install the software automatically, and click Next.

Once the Hardware installation is done, you should find a Connect to Dynalink ADSL icon on your desktop.
Double click this icon.

Enter the username and password as provided on your information letter.
Depending on your account type, your username may be one of 3 different formats:
"username@alphalink.com.au", "username@residential.alphadsl.com.au", or "username@alphalink.your-dsl.net"

Click Dial or Connect, and you should soon be connected.
